Automatic hybrid devices
They combine volumetric and gravimetric filling functions, as well as fill level control.
The system consists of a volumetric head positioned at the initial station and a weighing head with an electronic system. The filling method can be performed in various configurations depending on the needs:
- Filling using the volumetric head, with the scale serving to control the filled packaging.
- Weighing filling (without using the volumetric head) using the weight control function.
- Mixed filling, preliminary filling with the volumetric head, topping up with the weighing head using the weight control function.
The weight range must accommodate the largest value of packaging that can be filled using the volumetric head.
For example, for a volumetric head with a volume of 5L, the scale should have a minimum range of 15kg.
These systems are used where very high dosing accuracy is required, not worse than 0.1%.
